The word of God’s miraculous power is pouring in from Kenya, Africa. At this point, there have been over 8,000 salvations. Tony Pearce and Susan Slick visited a school today where approximatel 1,000 children made professions of faith in Jesus Christ. Is that awesome or what? Although the mission field is all around everyday, Wednesday will be the last day on the mission field in Kenya. The team will begin their journey back home Thursday morning and should be arriving at DFW at around 5:30 PM on Saturday evening. Tony sends his love and thanks for all of your prayers and encouragement before, during, and after the Kenya mission trip. I am reminded of the book, “Twelve Ordinary Men”, and how God can and will use ordinary people to further His Kingdom. Praise God he chose to use our very own “ordinary men” (and women) to encourage the people of Kenya, Africa and to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The missionary team is on their last leg of the journey, but their days will be full until they leave to come home. There have been 5,941 professions of faith, 92 recorded rededications, and over 2000 bibles handed out. Some of the missionaries will stay with the same church and others started in new churches today. There is still much work to do and the harvest is plentiful. Pray for the team in the areas of travel, health, and mission work. They will begin their journey back on Thursday. The team is due to arrive back home on Saturday evening, but for some maybe Sunday evening. Anyway, by this time next week, they should all be back home. Then we can all share in their praises and stories of their trip to Kenya. Continue to pray for schools, villages, and the churches of Kenya.
I will update again when I get word.
In Christ,
Debbie Pearce

Word from the Mission Field. Tony and Charles Ortega visited a school today with approximately 700 children. They estimated 600 of them prayed to receive Christ. Later that afternoon, they went shopping in a “wood carving” area. Tony preached the Good News and 11+ wood carvers prayed to receive Christ. All of this on their day off! What a day! About half the group has gone on a 2 day safari while the others stayed at the resort and did other ministry projects, shopping, and rearranging. All of them will be starting over on Sunday for another full week of ministry. God is good and is bringing in a bountiful harvest for the Kingdom. Please keep them in your prayers.
In Christ,
Debbie Pearce

I’m just truly amazed. It’s their fourth day in the bush of Kenya, Africa and God is working miracles. There have been over 3200 salvations and too many rededications to count. All of the missionaries are overwhelmed at the end of each day because of the work that God is doing in and through their lives and in the lives of the African people. The team has seen many lives changed, including people being healed and being delivered from demon posession. They’ve had opportunities to be in several schools, but there are still other schools to be evangelized. Pray for God’s power to go before them and prepare the way, and also pray for a mighty work of God while they are there.
In the upcoming weekend several of the missionaries, including my Dad (Tony),Charles Ortega, and possibly others, will be visiting churches and communities from last year’s mission trip. Although evangelizing is at the top of the list, their main purpose is to support and encourage the pastors and their congregations.
Prayers:
1) Pray for the salvation of all the people of Kenya.
2) Pray for strength, endurance, and safety for all the missionaries for the remainder of the trip.
3) Pray the missionaries will be completely yielded and ready to be used by God.
4) Pray for the encouragement of last year’s churches and their pastors.
5) Pray for the interpreters, the nationals, and the pastors who are helping each day on the mission field with our missionaries.
5) Continue to pray for the “left behind” family and friends of the missionaries.

Another wonderful day in Kenya, Africa. I don’t have numbers, but again, many were saved and made rededications. Tony and Susan will have the opportunity to go into the schools the next 3 days. Please pray for a move of God before and during their presentation of the gospel. Brother Jeff preached a funeral today with approximately 800-900 people present. Many talked of how he blessed them by preaching the service. Today was a bit more taxing for most of them in the bush, but still many victories were won for the kingdom. Tony said Carrie really had an awesome day evangelizing. Praise God.
Check back in a day or so; I will keep posting.
In Christ,
Debbie

The Kenya Mission is in full swing. All the missionaries and their luggage (this is a big deal) arrived at their destination in Malindi, Kenya on Saturday evening (July 15th). On Sunday they were divided up and sent to churches in the area. Today was spent going in the bush, village to village, and into schools. There have been 567 salvations and many rededications to this point (Monday evening). To God be all the glory!
Specific Prayers:
1)Tony has 4 schools in the area he is evangelizing. Pray he will be allowed in all 4 of them this week.
2) Pray all of them will get to go to the schools in their area.
3) Pray the bibles (2300 of them) will be delivered as promised so they can be distributed in the schools.
4) Pray for boldness and strength for each missionary and that God will be used mightily through each one of the them.
5) Pray for the people of Kenya.
